Spring Wreath

Spring wreath
Intertwineing flowers into wreath

Beautiful flowers

Supplies

Recently, I purchased wreath making supplies at our local Dollar Store. This is a very inexpensive way to make different styles of wreath for the seasons. There are a lot of beautiful faux flowers to choose from and different sizes of wreaths. You will need a good pair of wire cutters to cut the flowers down to the right length, faux flowers, and a wreath. Here are some pictures showing you how to create a wreath. The wreath can be given away as a gift to the host/hostess who is having Easter dinner at their home, with a lovely thank you card.

The Christian Girl

The Christian Girl by Mamie W. Hayhurst.

Lesson 2 - "The Christian Girl and the Bible"

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" 2 Timothy 2:15

The goal of every Christian girl should be to learn all she can about the Bible. A daily habit of reading and meditating upon the word of God. As you read your Bible each day, you come to know God. Each time we read the Bible we learn something new.

Every Christian girl should have a reference Bible, a Bible dictionary, and a concordance. When you are studying a passage in the Bible you need to know what precedes it, what follows it, who is speaking, to whom it is spoken and what age or time it refers to (Patriarchal age, Mosaical age, and the Christian age).

A good habit of reading your Bible in the morning or when you go to bed each night should be followed daily. It also is a time to go to the heavenly Father in prayer.

The best book you will ever read is the Bible. If the Christian girl faithfully reads her Bible and follows it completely, she will be a living sacrifice and acceptable to God.

Spring

It is such a joy to look at God's creation and the beauty of it. He is an awesome God, who has created the different seasons for all to enjoy! Take a walk or sit quietly and you will see daffodils, rhododendrons, and many other beautiful plants.

Daffodils
By William Wordsworth

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills.
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a boy:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee;
A poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company;
I gazed --and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Books

I love to read mysteries, history, and classic books. Here are a few of my favorite books; Little Women, Charlottes Web, Junie B. Jones, Little House on the Prairie, etc. I also read my Bible every day. You can find these books at your local library, or purchase them online at Ebay.
