New Dress Inspiration

Stuffed Terrier

I am working on a 3D terrier. I did not have black felt, so I used brown instead.

Introducing Oopsy the Octopus

I found this sewing project online at www.moda.com. I used scrap fabric, felt and stuffing.

No Sew Canopy

To create my no sew canopy, my father used a dowel and hooks. Next, I used my extra seafoam blue fabric and draped it over the dowel.

Big Lounge Pillow

Two sided lounge pillow

Homemade Curtains

My pink curtains had become faded out by the sun. So I decided to sew a new set of curtains to match my dressing room curtains and bed canopy. Seafoam blue with two different rose prints at the bottom of the curtains.

Dressing Room

My Dressing Room

Recently, I was watching a Barbie movie and became inspired by a lovely dressing room. So I used some $1.00 a yd seafoam blue fabric to create curtains for my dressing room. My father used a curtain rod, and hooks to put my curtains up. Rick-rack ties, Barbie kids chandelier, homemade rug and a pouffes.

Garland/Banner

Here is a garland/banner that I made out of scrap pieces of fabric. I found the idea on online blogs.

"You've Got Mail"
I found this project at www.modabakeshop.com. I used rick rack as ties, instead of fabric. The heart holds zippers and other sewing supplies.

Hankie

I am so happy, I finally got my hankie done. I am still doing my school work, and it is hard to get the simplest sewing projects done.

Summer Shade Jumper

Top of jumper
Finished Jumper

I purchased a pattern at www.mariemadelinestudio.com. The pattern name is summer shade jumper. I did not put a zipper in back. I made the jumper a little roomy on top/bottom so that I can slip it on/off over my head. The straps cross in the back and come over the front where the buttons are placed. You cannot see the two pockets on the front of the dress. This dress is very comfortable and was made out of my left over cotton fabric. This dress is soft blue with a pink floral design. Also, I made the same jumper in white with a purple rose print. I will take a picture of the jumper at a later date.

Lane County Historical Museum Quilt Show

Spoon Knitter and Free Material
Fat Quarters and Homemade Pot Holder

Today, my mom and I went to a quilt show at the Lane County Historical Museum. I forgot to take my camera. This was the first time that I have been to a quilt show. Oh, the quilts were so beautiful. I am almost finished with my second quilt. I found a quilt pattern at www.modabakeshop.com. I am going to yarn tie it together. I will take a picture of the finished project. My first quilt was a Tilda Tapestry made into a quilt size. I glued on the treetops, bad idea, now I have dried glue marks on my fabric. I don't know how to salvage my quilt, so it is tucked away in the closet.

Coin Purse

My mother asked me to make her a new coin purse. I found a pattern at Something to Crow About, a quilting shop in Pleasant Hill. I used scrap material to make the purse.

Plastic Bag Holder

I found the pattern for the plastic bag holder at www.modabakeshop.com. I used a "fresh cotton" Moda charm pack, elastic and white cotton fabric to complete this project. My mom placed it in our pantry, to organize our huge plastic bag collection.

Small Fabric Angel Wings

Angel Wings by Tilda

Gently Used Patterns

Today, my dad and I went to Goodwill to look for zippers. I came across these cute craft patterns for a great price.
You can find ribbon and other sewing notions at Goodwill.

Fancy Pillow

Buttons

Rick rack

Decorative Pillow
I found a pillow pattern at www.modabakeshop.com. I altered her aster pillow pattern by taking off the white fabric piece and I didn't add the bows onto the back of the pillow. I placed heart buttons on my pillow, instead of flower shaped buttons.

Two Friends Doll

Two Friends Doll
by Tilda
This doll has wings that you can attach to her back. I decided to make this doll without wings. She is wearing a rose print top with a pink scarf. The skirt and bloomers are made out of white cotton fabric. I fancied up her skirt with pink rick rack. I have a doll pattern for a Jane Austen
dress. I will take a picture of my doll when I have finished the dress.
I found the patterns for this doll in the Sew Sunny Homestyle book by Tilda.
