Homemade Pumpkin

The other day, I went to Thimbles and Threads/Buttermilk Junction to look around. While I was there, I spotted a felt pumpkin in an old china cabinet. I ask the lady at the counter how much it cost and she said it wasn't for sale. I ask her how to make the felt pumpkin. You need a regular size (orange) fabric scrap, a toilet paper roll, and a small piece of brown felt. Put the toilet paper roll in the center of your orange fabric, and wrap the fabric around roll, placing fabric in the hole at the top. Cut a long rectangular strip of fabric out of the brown felt, the roll it up like a cinnamon roll. Place stem in the center of pumpkin.

Cross Stitch Bird Pillow Cases

I am learning how to do cross stitch and this is a picture of the pillow case that I am working on.
This is very time consuming and I find time to sit down in the evening and work on it.

Embroidery Thread

Hannah has been busy working on three hand stitching projects. She is working on a set of pillow cases, a sampler, and a bread cloth. She found that the teacup held her thread nicely and she could get to the different colors easily.
