Heart Organizer

"You've Got Mail"
I found this project at www.modabakeshop.com. I used rick rack as ties, instead of fabric. The heart holds zippers and other sewing supplies.

Fresh Garden Salad

My garden is producing an abundance of radishes and lettuce. Today I made a fresh garden salad out of lettuce, radishes and cucumbers. Yummy! I am looking forward to eating some tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden. A friend gave us some cucumbers from his garden.

Hankie

I am so happy, I finally got my hankie done. I am still doing my school work, and it is hard to get the simplest sewing projects done.

Summer Shade Jumper

Top of jumper
Finished Jumper

I purchased a pattern at www.mariemadelinestudio.com. The pattern name is summer shade jumper. I did not put a zipper in back. I made the jumper a little roomy on top/bottom so that I can slip it on/off over my head. The straps cross in the back and come over the front where the buttons are placed. You cannot see the two pockets on the front of the dress. This dress is very comfortable and was made out of my left over cotton fabric. This dress is soft blue with a pink floral design. Also, I made the same jumper in white with a purple rose print. I will take a picture of the jumper at a later date.

Aunt Renea taste testing cake

Lydia Sherman gave me a tea book called Having Tea by Tricia Foley. I was very excited to try the Dundee cake recipe. I had a slice recently at their house and it was delicious. I did not make homemade icing, I used Pillsbury vanilla frosting and fresh raspberries between the layers.

Recently, our family went to Eastern OR to celebrate my aunt and uncle and mom and dad's 25th wedding anniversary. Also, my grandpa and grandma's 50th wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our time together. We played horse shoes, cards, rode quads, went to the ice caves and opal mines. At night we had lively conversations around the campfire. I will post some more pictures.
